Recruitment Process for the role of Trainee Broker

Our recruitment process is tough (but hopefully enjoyable) and we make no apologies for this. Anyone who is offered a role with us as a Trainee Broker, should be proud of the achievement.

At ACS we have mapped what we know success looks like in the role of Trainee Broker and you will be asked to undertake a number of assessments as part of the interview process to help support our recruitment decisions. 

Having said that our recruitment process is tough, we know what a big decision it is for a candidate to move roles. Our process is as much about you making sure ACS is the right fit for you, as it is you to us.

STEP 1

APPLICATION

Apply for an advertised role through our website, LinkedIn, Glassdoor or relevant job board.

STEP 2

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RECEIPT

Upon receipt of your CV we will endeavor to contact you within 10 working days to let you know whether you have successfully made it to the next stage.

STEP 3

ABILITY TEST & VIDEO

If the skills and experiences displayed on your CV are aligned to the requirements of the role, you will be asked to complete an online ability test which includes verbal, numerical and inductive reasoning and should take around 35 minutes to complete In addition you will be sent a link to send us a video of your answer to three competency based interview questions.

STEP 4

PERSONALITY & MOTIVATIONAL QUESTIONNAIRE

If you pass the ability test and your video demonstrates positive evidence inline with our competency framework, you will be invited to a first interview. Prior to this face to face interview, you will be asked to complete an online personality and motivational questionnaire. In total the two assessments should take around 25 minutes to complete. These tools will not be used to make selection decisions, but to help support the interview process against competencies and drivers we know lead to success.

STEP 5

FACE TO FACE INTERVIEW

Your first interview will be face to face (in person or online) and will last between 60-90 minutes. You will be asked a number of competency based questions as part of this interview to help us get a better understanding of your experience. This is also an opportunity for you to get to understand our culture and what we could be like as an employer.

STEP 6

FINAL INTERVIEW

If you were successful at the first interview you will be invited back for a final half-day interview, where, as well as meeting office Directors, you will also get to meet other members of the team. As part of the interview you will be asked to present on your first 90 days in the role and may be asked to complete other role related activities. By this point, you really should have a good understanding of the role of Trainee Broker, the people you may be working with and who we are as an employer.

STEP 7

RESULT
