Our client urgently needed the outsized cargo flown from France to a remote oil field.

Transporting oil and gas parts to Alaska

We were tasked with moving five pieces of critical equipment, weighing almost 3,000kg, from France to a remote oil field in Alaska. Transporting the cargo via scheduled services would take too long, so an aircraft charter was the only way of getting the shipment there in time. We got to work on a time-sensitive solution.

Our Solution

Route: Châlons-Vatry > Deadhorse

Aircraft: Antonov AN-26

Our experienced cargo experts knew that the perfect aircraft would be needed to deliver the outsized cargo in Alaska’s extreme weather conditions.

We found the most cost-effective aircraft for the job within a couple of hours, leveraging our industry contacts to charter an Antonov AN-26.

Our team in Paris arranged a local trucking service to collect the cargo and drive it to the airport, as well as securing expedited screening and documentation.

The cargo was loaded into the rear of the AN-26 using a forklift before departing smoothly, touching down in Alaska promptly three days later.

The Finer Details

Attention to Detail: We carefully planned the most efficient route, incorporating stops in Scotland, Iceland, Greenland and Canada to refuel and rest the crew.

Global Network: Our experienced teams in Houston and Paris worked together across different time zones to pull off this urgent delivery.
