Urgently delivering spare parts for a grounded airliner
An airline got in touch with our experts at ACS Time Critical after one of their aircraft went out of action in Hawaii. With the grounded airliner needed ASAP to avoid costly disruptions to its busy flight schedule, we were tasked with expediting delivery of the spare parts needed to repair the fault and get it back in the air. Despite the out-of-hours request coming in on a Sunday afternoon, we reacted at lightning speed, offering the client a hand-carry solution within 10 minutes and immediately putting an onboard courier in Los Angeles on standby to collect the parts.
The courier was dispatched as soon as we got the go-ahead from the client, picking up the shipment 30 minutes later and driving it straight to the airport. With not long to go until the next departure for Honolulu, the courier quickly checked-in and boarded the flight. The spare parts were delivered in good time to repair the aircraft and resume its flight schedule.
