Ilyushin IL76 |
|
Manufactured by Ilyushin - four turbofans - medium
to long haul
The IL-76 is a stage 2 aircraft and is therefore not allowed to
fly to and from countries within the European Union. This aircraft
is also not allowed to fly into the United States of America. The
only exception to this is exemptions granted on the basis of the
flight being for a military or humanitarian purpose. There are many
IL-76’s based in the middle East where the aircraft is still
permitted to fly.
An ideal aircraft for outsize loads that do not fit the DC-8 or
707 and are too large for the AN-12.
