Urgent ‘Go Now’ Case Study
When an oil and gas client approached us to help them make their faulty oil rig operational again, we knew we had to act fast to make sure the parts reached their intended destination as soon as possible.
Multiple problems had rendered an offshore oil rig in Papua New Guinea inoperable. To resolve the situation, vital equipment had to be transported to its location in a short amount of time.
The client’s dedicated account manager sourced a Sikorsky S-76 due to its ability to fly to an offshore rig in the Bass Strait to collect the equipment from where it was currently being used.
Crew limitations meant that a Pilatus PC-12 had been put on standby to carry the journey on from Melbourne, transporting the freight on to Cairns. In the end, the client’s account manager worked around the clock to arrange six flights over the course of five days, as well as two OBC deliveries to assist with the resolution of the oil rig’s operational problems.
