Cargo aircraft facts |
Antonov An 22 |
|
Manufactured by Antonov - four turboprops - long haul
This aircraft is currently not permitted to fly in the United
States of America. The aircraft is ideal for outsize loads and is
the most cost effective replacement for the IL-76 since the stage
2 noise ban
ended European IL-76 flights. The aircraft can take similar heavy
and outsize cargo to the AN-124,
but with a reduced payload, and slightly cheaper operating costs. |
