Alex Sadat-Shafai passenger charter analyst at Air Charter Service received an urgent request to transport 5 passengers from east Midlands to Brest. Due to the Air Traffic Control (ATC) failure in the UK, many airports were experiencing delays. Within 10 Minutes of the request Alex had provided two offers for private charters.
The Midlands based company decided to accept an offer on a King Air 200. Forty two minutes later all of the relevant paperwork had been signed and the crew were at the aircraft ready to reposition to East Midlands Airport. 1hour 30 minutes later the aircraft was ready to depart with the passengers to deliver them on time to Brest.
The time scale given to organise this flight was particularly tight due to having to find an aircraft which could fly under the Visual Flight Rules (VFR). Due to the Air Traffic Control failure this was the only option to avoid delays in and around London; the passengers arrived at the destination with out delay. Air Charter Service’s extensive database of over 50,000 aircraft and the extensive training that each of their charter analyst receive enables quick reactions times for urgent flights.
