Canary Islands

India

There’s no warmer place than Goa during winter in the northern hemisphere, where average daily temperatures can go up to 30°C. With 64 miles of stunning coastline, its white sandy beaches are the highlight of any escape to this charming city. Its culture of music, adventure, and appetizing cuisines make Goa a fun place to visit through all seasons. If you’re lucky you can catch the Goa Carnival, which is one of Goa’s annual music festivals of dance, music, fun and food – these festivals feature some of the world’s top DJ line-ups.

South Africa

Cape Town is not only breathtakingly beautiful, but it’s the perfect getaway for a dose of sunshine during the UK’s winter. From magnificent and luxurious hotels to backpacking on a budget, this world-class tourist city offers countless attractions, sights, and activities for everyone. Palma de Mallorca

Palma de Mallorca is the only city on the island, and one you’ll find busy with activity throughout the day, and night. It’s awash with bars and restaurants, and as the sun sets, you’ll find clubs opening up throughout as well. Away from the glitz of the touristy area you’ll also find a beautiful historical centre, with a cathedral, Arab baths, museums, art nouveau buildings and the Museo de Arte Español Contemporáneo. Beyond the city are the beaches, with the general rule being the closer to the city they area, the busier they are. The island also hosts and annual music Festival in July, so they’ll be even busier then.

Essaouira

Morocco is a popular spot for those looking to escape to hotter climes and whilst Marrakech is often the first city to come to mind, why not look at Essaouira instead. Nestled away on the coast, it’s much quieter than bustling Marrakech, and with the coastal breezes sweeping the area the heat is less oppressive than that of Marrakech. The souk is still busy, but the bartering is more relaxed, and a far better introduction to how this particular system works than other places with similar shopping experiences. The beach is windy, so not the best for sunbathing, but there’s a plethora of activities on offer and it’s a massive hit with kite surfers.
