Taipei Songshan isn’t as unique as some of the airports we’ve featured before, but what makes it special are the photo opportunities available due to its city centre position. Matt Purton, Commercial Jet Sales Director, and Gavin Copus, Business Development Director, give us their top tips to getting that perfect shot. ‘If shooting at the airport you can get some great shots from around Runway 10,’ says Matt Purton. ‘It’s the predominant runway used, and is really easy to get to via the Metro system. You should head for Longjuang Road and take the left turn into Lane 180 for the best angles.’ Gavin Copus had this to add about taking imagery within the city itself. ‘There’s a meat market a few streets away where you can get shots of the aircraft when they’re only 30 feet or so off the ground. The noise bounces off the buildings so you get a little bit of warning.’ The image we used for this article was taken by Gavin from that spot, so you can see just how close the aircraft is!
