SPOTLIGHT ON DON MUEANG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

10 February 2016

Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport used to be the city’s number one, until the new Suvarnabhumi Airport was built. Nowadays, Don Mueang plays host to a lot of low cost carriers and plenty of regional traffic, so if you’re heading in on holiday, you probably won’t find yourself coming in to land beside Kantarat Golf Course.

Nestled between the two runways, Kantarat is an 18-hole golf course owned by the Royal Thai Air Force. The rules are simply, no photographs and no weapons, oh and wait for the lights before you start crossing the taxiway. The greens and fairways aren’t bad, and the price is very reasonable, but let’s face it, golfers don’t visit for the golf, but for the thrill of teeing off within driving distance of a Boeing 747. There’s also a clubhouse with showers as well as a lovely little Thai restaurant, so you’ll be well looked after once you’ve made your way round the course.

Charter a private jet to Don Mueang International Airport with Air Charter Service and tee off in style. Why not call us now for a quote.
