Arrive Like the Stars: Book a Private Jet Charter to the Toronto Film Festival

Hollywood takes over Toronto for eleven days every summer. Book a private jet charter to the Toronto Film Festival to see the next big films and the stars that make them shine

Some of the industry’s biggest stars can be spotted roaming the streets, walking the red carpet or leading panel discussions. Last year’s festival was attended by Amy Adams, Emma Stone, Rooney Mara, Matt Damon, Michelle Williams, Ryan Gosling, Jennifer Garner, Justin Timberlake, Gerard Butler, and so many more. This year promises to be just as star-studded.

How to Get to the Toronto Film Festival

Dates: 7-17 September 2017
Location: TIFF Bell Lighthouse and various locations throughout Toronto

If you’re looking for the VIP experience from start to finish, we can help. For festival-goers arriving by private jet charter, Toronto Pearson International Airport offers one of the most luxurious private jet experiences in the world. There are three private terminals at the airport, with ultra-plush lounges featuring showers, conference rooms, children’s toys, exotic car rentals and even a fireplace. Many stars en route to the festival choose to land here for the privacy and exclusivity the airport offers. Whether or not you’re dodging the paparazzi, no one wants to deal with the crowds at the airport. We’ll arrange to have a chauffeur meet you on the tarmac for the 15-mile drive to the city.

As a less pricey airport for a private jet charter, Toronto is also home to Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. The airport is located under a mile from the festival venues in the Entertainment District. The small airport has more standard guest amenities, but will have you at the festival in no time

What You Need to Know About the Toronto Film Festival

The mission of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is to show the best Canadian and international films to a wide audience. To that end, TIFF is heralded as the world’s most significant film festival that is open to the public. For film buffs, the access is unprecedented. In addition to the public screenings, the festival offers lectures, Q&As, panel discussions, workshops and more.

In 2016, the festival hosted more than 1,200 screenings of 296 movies. Some critics thought the festival had become too large and difficult to navigate, showing six times the selection at the Cannes Film Festival in the same year. The festival listened, and the 2017 festival will be smaller and more curated, dropping about 60 films.

The climax of the festival is the awards ceremony, when various juries vote for the best films of the week. A favorite award is the audience-elected Grolsch People’s Choice Award, which went to Damien Chazelle’s La La Land in 2016. Another prestigious award is the Toronto Platform Prize, which awards the directors behind the films. The 2016 winner was Pablo Larraín for Jackie, selected by filmmakers Brian De Palma and Mahamat-Saleh Haroun, and acclaimed actor Zhang Ziyi.

Tickets

The official schedule is set to be released on 22nd August. As there is no assigned seating, guests should plan to arrive early to line up. The festival recommends arriving one hour before the screening start time.

Ticket packages offer the best value, starting at $150 for six films. The Premium Flex package costs $425 and allows ticket holders to be among the first to select “premium films,” which feature an in-person experience such as a red carpet, a premiere, or an audience Q&A. The most exclusive package is the Buzz List, which includes priority access to an expert-curated schedule of the most talked-about premium screenings of the year. The package costs $1500.

Discounted tickets are currently on sale for TIFF members. Join today for $99 at this link. A presale for Visa cardholders opens on 14th June. Tickets go on sale for the general public on 21st June. Tickets are available at the official website.
