Air Charter Service Christmas Party
The Air Charter Service Christmas party is always a great event, but this year was extra special due to it being ACS’ 25 year anniversary. Held on Raven’s Ait Island, the theme was Great Gatsby, and the dress code, black tie.
Kicking off at 6:30pm, guests were ferried across to the island to be met with a red carpet, lit by two fire dancers dazzling the crowds with glittery costumes and performances with fire poi and fire fans. Once inside, guests were treated to a Champagne reception, with entertainment from a jazz band and contortionist.
After mingling a while, the party moved over to the marquee, where dinner was to be served. Each table was adorned with rose petals and a candelabrum, with each place setting featuring a mask and cracker. Three courses were served with entertainment provided between each course and two cigarette girls going from table to table selling raffle tickets, with all proceeds going to charity. During dinner there was also a presentation for Chris and Tina Leach, to celebrate 25 years of ACS. Each ACS office had been asked to provide a selfie of the entire team with each employee penning a short congratulatory message, which, once collated were turned into five framed pieces.
After dinner, the cocktail bar opened and the DJ started getting people on to the dance floor. There was also roulette and Black Jack tables available, with each employee being given £100 in fake currency with a prize for the person who made the most money by the end of the night. Beside the dance floor there was also PHOTOTHEATRE by Out Of Order, whose representatives set up a scene and offered an array of costumes and props for you to choose from. Once you were all set, they stage you all in the picture creating unique and engaging scenes, such as the one of our board of directors at the top of this article. As the clock struck midnight, guests were taken back over to the mainland before boarding a coach into Kingston where the party continued at The Library, booked out exclusively for the use of ACS.
In total we raised £7390 for our chosen charities, Save the Children, Macmillan Cancer Trust, Momentum and the Dysart School.
